Dan Gatti, Chairman
Mr. Gatti developed the Industrial Effectiveness program focused on Data Center and infrastructure efficiency and tech refresh providing customers with attractive financial alternatives. Mr. Gatti helped establish the “Go Green” initiative at the Telecommunications Industry Association.
Mr. Gatti was President and CEO of OnSite Systems selling wireless backhaul solutions, located in Santa Clara, CA. Prior to OnSite, Mr. Gatti was President and CEO of BigBangwidth selling solutions to solve security and bandwidth constraints of GRID networks. Mr. Gatti was President and CEO of MAYAN Networks, providing optical switches to the service provider market.
Previous positions include Vice President and General Manager of 3Com’s Network Service Provider Division, Vice President of Worldwide Sales at Primary Access, President of Aptec Computer Systems providing multimedia I/O servers. Vice President of Marketing at Amdahl and GTE. Mr Gatti started his carreer at IBM
Mr. Gatti has a BA from Fairfield University and completed the executive MBA program at the Harvard Advanced Business School.
John Glass, Chief Operating Officer
John Glass has over twenty years experience in Telecommunications, professional video broadcast/post production, video transport, network management and semiconductor industries. John possess valuable breadth of experience directing corporate development, general management, operations, marketing/sales, and product launch initiatives in both start-up and large corporate environments. Globally experienced and accomplished in forging entry
into new domestic/international markets and fostering worldwide strategic partnerships and alliances. Seasoned general manager with P&L experience. Served on two boards of a triple play (voice, video, and data) service provider and a financial services company.
John was a Member of executive staff at Nevion responsible for leading all video networking marketing activities to communications, broadcaster and government entities worldwide including; corporate marketing, partner/channel marketing, product marketing, marketing communications, product and product management. John directed company’s European, Middle East, Africa, North/South American and Asian marketing teams supporting service provider, broadcast and government markets.
John held executive positions at Anchor Bay Technologies a semi conductor company
purchased by Silicon Image. Also executive at Core Technologies, Taqua and General Instrument.
In addition to speaking to numerous civic and professional industry associations,
John sits on the California Industry Council for Technology in Learning and the
Board of Advisors to the United States Distance Learning Association, and is a
Colonel in the U.S. Air Force Reserve.
John holds an MBA from Western New England College and a Bachelor’s degree from
Washington State University where he studied economics.
Ben Peek, Vice President Engineering
Ben Peek is Vice President of Engineering and has designed Data Centers for enterprise and telecom companies with a vision for energy efficiency. He was the CIO of Agnosco Communications Group and teamed with RAND, Sandia National Laboratories, Lawrence Livermore Laboratories, Purdue University to develop a distributed information system prototype to enable the private and public sectors to interact in a secure information environment.
Previously, Mr. Peek was CTO of Time Warner Telecom who acquired GST, where Mr. Peek served as Senior Fellow and President of GST Internet. Mr. Peek designed fiber networks for Electric Lightwave, Bonneville Power, and TransAlta Utilities Corporation in Alberta.
Mr. Peek was one of three DARPA Principal Investigators (PI) for the National Transparent Optical Network Consortium (NTONC), a DARPA funded 10 Gbps research network (OC-192) from Seattle to San Diego via Portland, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. NTON also has multiple 2.4 Gbps rings in the San Francisco Bay area.
Mr. Peek was the director of the Oregon Advanced Computing Institute and the Oregon Joint Graduate Schools of Engineering, a graduate program including the Oregon Graduate Institute of Science and Engineering, Portland State University, Oregon State University and the University of Oregon.
Mr. Peek is a charter member of the Super Computing Institute and an advisor to the Telecom industry.
Kevin McGrath – Chief Technical Officer
Kevin McGrath is the Chief Technical Officer focused on all aspects of data center design with an emphasis on applications. Depending on the application, there are numerous considerations for types of IT equipment and how to implement the most cost effective and energy efficient solutions.
Previously, Mr. McGrath was Vice President of Complex Systems for Verari Technologies with over 30 years of experience in leading engineering organizations focused on creating innovative products for information technology markets
Prior to joining Verari Technologies, Mr. McGrath held various management positions at EMC Corporation and Legato Systems including Vice President of Engineering for High Availability products as well as roles in Business Development and Product Management. Before joining Legato Systems, Mr. McGrath held the position of Vice President and Chief Storage Technologist at BMC Software where he led in the formation of the Storage Products business unit, and led the development of the architecture strategy and product strategy for storage management software products.
Previous to BMC Software, Mr. McGrath held executive positions in Engineering and Marketing organizations at Amdahl Corporation during an 18 year tenure. During this period, the company grew from $100 Million in revenue to nearly $3 Billion, and Mr. McGrath held positions that were key to creating this success including Vice President of Systems Architecture.
Mr. McGrath graduated from the University of Pittsburgh where he studied Engineering and Computer Science.
Ed Lucente, Vice President Business Development
Mr. Lucente was Director of Financial Services and Energy Rebate Programs at Verari Systems where he developed marketing programs for data center efficiency. Mr. Lucente was in sales management with Mainline Information Systems, IBM’s largest business partner, focusing on selling IBM’s entire array of products and services to large financial services firms in New York.
Mr. Lucente was Vice President of Sales for Latin America at Minolta-QMS, the laser printer division of Konica-Minolta. His team managed distribution channels and sales, including marketing relationships with major U.S. distributors, such as Ingram-Micro and Tech Data.
Mr. Lucente has held a variety of sales and channels development positions at Network General in network and data communications software. At Oracle in database software, and at Liant Software in data access and middleware software. Mr. Lucente began his career with IBM as a Marketing Representative in Boston.
Ed is familiar with multiple high-tech disciplines, financial services, and the Latin culture and possesses significant Spanish language skills. Ed is a partner at Innovative Capital Ventures.
Ed holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from Bucknell University.
